Episode 2 - Jade Goody vs The World (Interview w/ Jon St John AKA Duke Nukem)
We apologise for the slight hiatus in production - we can now present to you the SECOND episode of 'The Rafferty/Mills Connection' featuring all the usual characters in the studio as per usual. Following the success of the first episode (and we thank everyone for continuing to listen), we kick off with another jampacked show.
This week, Nick and Dan recap the Oscars and find out if any of the last episode's predictions came to pass. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how it all went. And, in a shocking turn of events, 'Don' Dave Skilling has already been indicted after we received a tip from an 'inside' source. Mills and Rafferty grilled Skilling on his 'legitimate' business and the segment came to a shocking conclusion after his lawyer stepped in. This is a moment that is MUST LISTEN-TO RADIO! We've even capatalised that to show the importance of this segment.
But the main event of this show has to be the discussion on Jade Goody - a subject that 'Dangerous' Dan has absolutely no respect for and shows this with his contributions on the discussion. With the controversy over the press that Jade Goody's terminal illness has received, both co-hosts share their opinions in a very uncensored, unfiltered manner. We discussed the neighbour incident, the hammer incident.. so many incidents with Jade Goody that it'll make your head spin.
We also feature an interview with the voice of Duke Nukem himself, Jon St John! In this great interview, Jon discusses breaking into voice-acting and his radio career. But what kind of show would we be without discussing 'The King' himself? Jon talks about how he came to win the role of Duke, how the game was received upon it's release, controversy over it's material and the status of the apparent sequel, Duke Nukem Forever, which is STILL in production. Jon gives us the lowdown on all things Duke Nukem - including his thoughts on the video 'Ventrillo Harrasment'. He's got balls of steel.. hail to the king, baby!
