As part of the short vacation ‘The Rafferty/Mills Connection’ took, Nick carried out an interview with the winner of Season 6 of hit US television show ‘The Apprentice’ (hosted by Donald Trump), Stefanie Schaeffer.

In twenty minutes, Nick discussed the pilot’s she’s currently filmed, her memories of meeting Trump himself and her experiences of working with him. Does the personality on the screen mirror the personality in real life? And what did she reckon of her boss becoming involved in professional wrestling for the WWE’s Wrestlemania event?

Find out as Stefanie also discusses the moment she won the show, her work as a defense attourney and what made her interested in law. Other topics included coping with fame and working as a host amongst others. It’s a really interesting interview and one that will catch people by surprise - the name Stefanie Schaeffer may not strike out to some people but by the time you finish listening to this, you’ll gain new appreciation for the woman and her work. Enjoy.

And, finally, Skilling becomes a star as he reviews the latest WWE Hell in a Cell PPV.

Nick spoke with Peter Dickson for nearly 40 minutes regarding his long and amazing career - it’s a fantastic interview and one not to miss.

Due to several last minute scheduling for interviews and circumstances from last week which resulted in the show being uploaded late, the episode this week has been replaced with a special audio update. Skilling refused to take part, outraged regarding the comments about his non-participation on Episode 10. With the looming return of the ‘Don’ persona, Danny had Dave escorted from the studio as his knee began to twinge, a looming pain from the vicious assault.

No, seriously.

Just kidding. No Dave this week due to scheduling difficulties, it’s Nick and Danny flying solo as the two discuss their real-life argument last week during the production of Episode 10, all of the tensions and anger released in this radio therapy session. It’s one hour (a mini episode) of Danny and Nick.. if you can stand it.

However, it turns into a discussion on clubs, alcohol prices and Nick’s hatred towards clubs (from the interrogating bouncers to the expensive drinks, no stone is left unturned). And, finally, we get the Rafferty/Mills’ take on the Kanye West/Taylor Swift situation. Was Kanye wrong? Was it Taylor’s fault? The two hosts have a debate regarding the issue - and look at Obama’s participation in the ongoing celebrity saga.

But the big segment of the show is ‘Celebrity Mortuary’ which looks at the celebrity deaths of the past three months. The three discuss the ongoing controversy regarding Michael Jackson and after all of the press, finally share their feelings on the death, it’s impact on the entertainment industry and their feelings on the recent developments on Dr Conray Murray being charged. Nick and Danny also discuss David Carradine’s tragic and bizzare death and touch on Patrick Swayze’s passing from cancer.

We also have news from the past three months including the BNP’s election into the EU and the Lockerbie bomber’s release from a Scottish prison which has been causing much controversy.

Both co-hosts of ‘The Rafferty/Mills Connection’ are huge fans of hit television show ‘The Shield’ and have the pleasure of introducing this next interview.

Having starred as ‘Detective Shane Vendrell’ since the first season of the show until the very final episode, Walton Goggins took the time out of his very busy schedule to speak to Nick regarding his career and the final season of ‘The Shield’ which is now about to be released via DVD. If you want a reason to buy the final season or just want to know more information about the cult television show, listen to this interview. Walton discusses how he began acting, working with veteran acting legends like Billy Bob Thornton (including his thoughts on the recent controversy regarding Billy Bob Thornton’s appearence on a Canadian radio station) and Robert DuVall and talks about whether he received career advice off them.

But, of coarse, ‘The Shield’ is first and foremost top priority having just finished several months ago after seven seasons of amazing entertainment. Walton Goggins discusses how he landed the role and discusses several factors of the show including his method of playing his character and why he approaches it with this unique approach. Also, he discusses working with some of the high profile guest stars like Glenn Close, Anthony Anderson and Forest Whitaker. Walton definately speaks intelligently on this subject and you, as a listener, definately learn a thing or two about the benefit of these kind of actors working on the show.

But with Shane Vendrell having been involved in so many controversial but exciting storylines (including the ending), Walton talks about his feelings on his relationship with Kenny Johnson (aka Curtis Lemansky on ‘The Shield’) and how he felt when told his character would be involved in one of the most shocking ends to a ‘Shield’ season which involved the death of a Strike Team member. This led to a discussion on the aftermath and big showdown with Vic Mackey. Walton explains how he interpreted the scene and explains the difference between Vic and Shane. The intelligent answers and excellent discussion between Nick and Walton regarding the show definately makes for an exciting interview.

We’re back as usual with Episode 8 of ‘The Rafferty/Mills Connection’ with quite an episode - ‘Trials and Tribulations’.

This week, Danny and Nick finally recover from their bout of swine-flu (except for Nick who keeps coughing throughout the episode - sorry) and bring back ‘Dave’ himself from a short hiatus. What’s the controversial Skilling for in store for us? This episode was no exception to how far the man can go. What makes the situation even worse is the potential student radio takeover as ‘Met Radio Online’ join in on ‘The Rafferty/Mills Connection’, creating a hostile situation between the regulars and the student radio folk. Does this end in violence? Regular listeners will be laughing and horrified at the same time as the battle between good and evil (aka student radio) commences on this episode. Who comes out on top? Does Skilling show the student radio invaders his vigilante justice and resort to his old ways?

‘Stories This Week’ looks at gay ministers in the church, Scientology being on trial and Glastonbury. Nick and Danny, once again, square off when it comes to rappers (in reference to Jay-Z being a performer for the 2008 event) and we get some interesting opinions when it comes to religion. We also feature ‘Don Skilling Presents: Tips On Dating - How To Successfully Shchlenk’. This is the one segment to listen to - this segment turns quickly into a discussion on suicide and sharing disgusting stories at parties along with some debating on the tips given by both Dave, Nick and Danny. If you’re wondering just how this turned into a free-for-all, we won’t share any more information. It’s a surprise.

And, after many episodes in the making, Danny Rafferty FINALLY squares off, one on one, with the Easter Bunny in a no-holds barred, uncensored debate! This is it, folks. After much talk from both participants, the challenge has been accepted by both.. erm, beings, and with Skilling as moderator, we finally get the real deal on just why Danny hates the Easter Bunny, what the rumoured on-set tirade was all about. This gets real personal, real fast. Nick holds back an Ace-In-The-Hole, however, and brings in his special guest moderator, one of the most hated television personalities on the planet (well…. kinda) who brings hate and disgust to normal, civilised human beings across the world. After this moderator shakes things up with his confrontational methods of conversation, this turns into an ugly war of words (as per usual) with a shocking conclusion.

We also have some news on the excellent Walton Goggins interview that’s shortly to be released on ‘The Rafferty/Mills Connection’ podcast and our final segment looks at the successful but short-lived game console, the Nintendo 64. This quickly turns into an argument on over-rated games, Xbox360’s, Dreamcasts and the Rambo movies (including Sylvester Stallone).

The title of this episode perfectly sums up the episode - with it’s confrontational, violent arrogent and loudmouth style, it’s ‘Trials and Tribulations’ for the presenters and for the audience with it’s rollercoaster ride on radio. Enjoy.

Episode 7 - Quarantined finally arrives… with a cold. Nick and Danny survive their British-common cold to bring you yet another packed show.. recorded straight from their bedrooms due to their illnesses! ‘The Rafferty/Mills Connection’ makes ‘Stories of the Week’ a fixture in the episode schedule as Nick and Danny discuss the MP Expenses situation, 3D Realms shutting down along with Katie Price & Peter Andre divorcing.

Is David Cameron really a snake? How is the divorce story affecting the co-hosts (or should we say, not)? These are just several questions asked and answered at the same time. But a story that really pulls at gamers’ heartstrings is the 3D Realms situation - having interviewed Jon St John on the podcast on Episode 2, this is definately a story that gets some discussion out of both Nick and Danny regarding the future of ‘Duke Nukem Forever’.

‘Booky-Wookies’ (in a tribute to the “hilarious” random humour of Russell Brand) looks at another part of the media: books. But with franchises like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter thrown into the mix, Danny and Nick give their thoughts on the series’ being over-rated, books to movies and why killing off Gary Oldman in Harry Potter is a cardinal sin amongst other book-related topics. Even Stephen King is thrown into the mix.

We have yet another Guest Announcement - and, this week, our final segment is ‘Don Skilling & The Seven Dwarfs’ which pays tribute to the gang’ swine-flu ridden friend and looks at Disney movies: the classics and the worst. With the favourites and least-favourites picked out (two words: Disney sequels), Nick and Danny also talk about the urban legend in Aladdin, Jeremy Irons’ awesome voice, Robin Williams and the state of animation these days.

Another week, another episode. Watch out for Episode 8 - Nintendo 64: Why It’s So Sweet is just one of the segments announced. Stay tuned.

Episode 6 finally arrives - and in tribute to the 2-hours of entertainment this week (to make up for the lack of episode last week) and including our very special interview, we’ve titled this episode: ‘Size Does Matter’.

This week, we feature a new segment titled ‘Stories This Week’ which looks at the breaking stories that everybody’s talking about. Danny and Nick dicuss the Ricky Hatton vs Manny Pacquiao fight and the calls of retirement, the swine-flu epidemic which is sweeping the globe and the publicised ‘Pirate Bay’ trial which looks at the controversy surrounding the trial and whether file-sharing is as serious of a problem as the large music and entertainment companies make it out to be.

We also look at ‘TV Shows You Love, But We Hate’ where Danny and Nick look at television shows that are heavily-publicised and rated by millions of fans - but are they necessarily the best? They don’t think so and, as a result, name and shame the shows that some would call ‘over-rated’. You think your show is safe? Think again. Sex & The City, Skins, Eastenders, Friends and many more are targeted in a segment of pure hatred with the co-hosts even disagreeing on shows they’ve chosen. Don’t worry, we won’t spoil the rest of this segment but it’s definately recommended listening.

And, as advertised in the last episode, we’ve listened to the feedback and decided to include the ‘Making of.. Danny Rafferty vs The Easter Bunny’. Coming off from the trailer of the independent low-budget movie about Danny’s quest to hunt down and kill ‘The Easter Bunny’, a new staff-member came onto the podcast to interview Danny about the show (after the Billy Bob Thornton-inspired fiasco with Nick). However, this part of the show takes a brutal turn as the beloved childrens icon stormed (or “hopped”) into the studio and ended up in an argument - are you listening yet?

But our main event is the great interview with ‘The Hedgehog’ himself, Ron Jeremy. Well known for his high-profile pornographic career and having started in the late 1970’s after posing for Playgirl, Ron Jeremy is synonymous with the adult entertainment industry and is a considered a legend in the industry. So we decided to give him a call - and Ron agreed to be interviewed, giving us nearly 40-minutes of an interview which discusses everything and anything Nick threw at him.

Ron discusses the new straight-to-DVD film he’s currently starring in, ‘One Eyed Monster’ which is currently available in the United States and will be available in the UK shortly. Along with the film, Ron Jeremy talks about his work debating with ‘XXX Porn Debate’ which raises issues regarding the industry, working with controversial pornstar John Holmes, his thoughts on the piracy of professional pornography and whether it’s easy to cross into mainstream from adult entertainment.

We also find out the answers to those questions you always wanted to know: Why do autofellatio? Who’s slept with more women, Ron or Gene Simmons (KISS)? What made him enter pornography? Apart of ‘The Rafferty/Mills Connection’s mission to interview well-sought personalities who contribute excellence to the modern world, it’s our pleasure to add Ron Jeremy to the list of interviews.

Yet again, ‘The Rafferty/Mills Connection’ delivers with this simply fantastic interview with the superb voice-actor of ‘Batman: The Animated Series’ himself, Kevin Conroy (voicing Batman/Bruce Wayne amongst other characters).

Fans of the show hail him as one of the best actors to “don the cape” and Nick agreed, interviewing Kevin in nearly 45 minutes of gold as he gracefully took time out of his schedule to talk about the show amongst other topics.

Kevin Conroy has played Batman and Bruce Wayne longer than anyone (including Adam West, Christian Bale & Michael Keaton amongst others) and has all the stories and experiences to talk about. From his stories about studying at Juilliard and being in the same class as Kelsey Grammer and Robin Williams to working with Donald Sutherland in a play, Kevin has so much experience even before working on Batman.

But, of coarse, he tells us everything about the great animated series… and more. How did he get the role? Did his performance change over the years? Was there a challenge of switching from live-acting to voice-acting? Kevin also tells of the benefits of working for Warner Bros regarding voice-acting. All this and more as we find out his experiences of working with Mark Hamill (who plays The Joker on the show), Ron Perlman and Adam West (who featured as a special guest as “The Grey Ghost”). Other topics of discussion include his favourite episode, working on ‘Justice League’ and voicing the video game ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’ (due to be released later this year).

If you’re a ‘Batman: Animated Series’ fan, this interview is compulsory listening.

And there are all sorts of great moments in this interview as we finally find out those questions we were dying to know for so long (but were never asked) - how did it feel to sing as Batman? (for an episode), thoughts on Christian Bale’ low-growly voice portraying Batman in ‘The Dark Knight’ and his thoughts on the state of animation these days. Kevin also tells a hilarious story about volunteering after 9/11 and someone recognising his voice from the series. This is such a terrific tale that it’s worth the mention here.

After last week’s short but jampacked episode, we present Episode 5 otherwise known as “The Gay Episode”.

Presented, as always, by ‘Dangerous’ Dan Rafferty and Nick Mills - they kick things off in brilliant fashion with Danny announcing more news on ‘The Rafferty/Mills Connection: Movie’ which leads to a huge arguement between the two as Nick is irate with his written role in the film. What exactly did Danny write for Nick? In a truly controversial fashion, the two spar in this absolutely insane and over-the-top discussion. We’ll say no more - we wouldn’t want to spoil the segment.

And, FINALLY, the two comment on the situation regarding ‘Don’ Skilling - after all of your emails and phonecalls, ‘The Rafferty/Mills Connection’ finally talk about the event which nearly led the show to jeopardy. With Dave’s arrest, what exactly is his future? How did Nick feel about the events which went down (already knowing Dan’s feelings)? What injuries did Dan suffer  as a result of the incident? Dan discusses the rumours of possible legal action. 

But, after much feedback, the two decide to make a decision regarding the suspension of ‘The Don’ himself that is felt throughout the show. Nick also talks about the wrestling shows he attended over the weekend and nearly getting into a fight with a wrestler.

We finally bring you the Cape Fear vs Cape Fear segment as Nick and Danny compare the 1962 (starring Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum) and 1991 (Nick Nolte and Robert DeNiro) versions and crown a true king of Cape Fear - listen to the two discuss the nature of both movies, Martin Scorsese’ involvement in the remake, DeNiro’s spiced up portrayal, Mitchum’s acting and all sorts. What did the remake include that is missing in the original? Reversing that question and more, this segment crowns a winner of ‘Cape Fear’ that will be felt for decades on ‘The Rafferty/Mills Connection’.

And, in true fashion, the segment of ‘Movies So Bad, They’re Good’ brings us the discussion of the worst films and actors that are so bad, they’re good, the effect of celebrating absolute crap because it’s entertaining. From Pet Cemetary (”sometimes, dead is better”) to the nonsense that is Snakes On A Train, this segment definately brings up some very strange choices and gets everyone talking on just what films are bad, they’re good and what’s just plain BAD. What is Nicholas Cage’ acting face? What’s the formula of every Steven Seagal film? Tune in to find out.

Episode 5 - Gay Episode. Love it.

Unfortunately, ‘Don’ Skilling is still suspended “pending further enquiry” and so it’s just Nick and Danny squaring off this week in another fun episode.

The two discuss what they did over the Easter holidays which ranges from burying a dead rat to filming a movie of the podcast (already?). Nick and Danny definately have alot to discuss and square off when it comes to the movie as the outline was seen on the ‘Dangerous’ Dan blog - Nick saw his role in the movie and had a HUGE problem with it. Dan also discusses hating Easter and the bunny - which is a cardinal sin. All this and more on the show.

But this week features a new segment titled ‘Retro Games’ - discussing games which you played as a child. And we kicked things off in style with ‘Resident Evil’ where the two discuss the cheesy dialogue, obvious betrayals and the gameplay. It then just gets better and better with games being thrown in by each for much talking. This segment was so successful that we may just do another one further down the line.

And ‘Dangerous’ Dan Rafferty discusses his new independant film, ‘Dan Rafferty vs The Easter Bunny’. In a take on the Billy Bob Thornton interview incident, Dan is offended when Nick references his work on ‘The Rafferty/Mills Connection’ and, in true style, becomes awkward and silly which makes for some good fashioned radio. We even played the trailer to the ‘movie’! Could this be a success? God knows - although we do see true potential.

Episode 4.. Easter Special. Need I say more?

*NOTE*: This episode has references to a segment called ‘Cape Fear vs Cape Fear’ which unfortunately had to be cut from this weeks show due to time constraints. This will be on next week’s episode along with a very special interview with the voice-actor of Bruce Wayne and Batman of the ‘Batman: Animated Series’, Kevin Conroy! So make sure you tune into Episode 5.

The story is long and complicated just like the author himself - and so we won’t spoil it with a synopsis. The audiobook is entirely up to you to interpret one way or another - but there shall be more on it’s way in the near future. This was recorded before the arrest of ’The Don’ which explains why he pops up at the beginning in a nice disclaimer - Dan was asked for a statement about the release but declined to comment, instead saying he was “not conforming to the pressures of a fanbase”.

Enough waffling. It’s Moon-Rape time!

Another week has passed and another episode has been released as Episode 3 of ‘The Rafferty/Mills Connection’ airs and returns for another round. As we become more popular with listeners, we somehow manage to up the ante of controversy and this week was no different - we’ll probably be condemned for this episode as this week features quite possibly one of the most shocking moments of ‘The Rafferty/Mills Connection’ takes place as something MAJOR goes down regarding ‘Don’ Skilling which could very much affect his future on the show.

We tried to reach Nick Mills and Daniel Rafferty for comment but neither would discuss the incident in question - however, we have received rumours that ‘Dangerous’ Dan himself will be addressing this situation amongst other things in a special blog on the website.  We will definately post that as soon as we receive it - but just listen to this episode to find out just what took place! We apologise ahead of time..

This episode is jampacked with the old and the new - returning is the ‘Triple Threat’ which this week focuses on “Cartoon Wars” - The SImpsons, Family Guy and South Park face off to determine just what is the best cartoon out of all three. Dan and Nick discuss the cartoons and their impact and humour amongst other things with the shows and find a winner - Facebook won the ‘Social Networking’ triple threat so which cartoon out of all three will be declared the winner and champion of ‘Triple Threat Cartoon Wars’? We also have news read out by the ‘Don’ himself, Dave Skilling, read in his own style and manner.

But the one main segment this week which will probably send all involved to hell is the segment regarding the death of Jade Goody - after last week’s very dark-humoured take on her, her passing is discussed by Nick, Danny and ‘The Don’ and no punches are pulled as all three are brutally honest about the reality TV star - especially when the topic of a rumoured biopic movie (a famous British director was approached) is discussed! Anyone who doesn’t wish to be offended has now been warned - do not listen to this episode if you are sensitive. This one isn’t for the kids. 

And we introduce a new segment - ‘Things That Piss You Off’, a discussion to find the one thing that pisses off most people in the history of history.  Everything from comedian actors in films to guys who like blondes are discussed and it almost turns into a psychiatrists session as it turns into a discussion on what pisses them off about the other - even ‘The Don’ was targeted!
